My name is Merry Stedman. The name I use online is stedman2610. I was born in February and my sign is Pisces.
Davenport, Iowa is where I call home.
I enjoy quilting. I also enjoy crocheting, knitting, cross-stitching, more-or-less, crafting in general.
I started quilting about 8 years ago. It's really kind of funny that I ever got into quilting. I have done some sewing over the years, and didn't care for it too much. So, I figured I wouldn't like quilting, therefore, didn't really take the time to learn about it. One of my friends, showed me a quilt she had been working on, which I later found out she was making for me, and I fell in love with the design, the colors, and actually, the simplicity of it. She explained to me the cutting process and how the blocks go together to get to the finished work of art. I couldn't wait to get home and start doing some more research and reading to learn more about quilting. Well, from there I bought a quilt frame kit, put the kit together, and have been quilting since. I'm not able to quilt as often as I like, because the "real" world stuff keeps me from it.
I enjoy working crossword puzzles, keeps the brain sharp. Stephen King is one of my favorite authors, as well as Barbara Taylor Bradford. When it comes to characters in a book, my favorite is Harry Potter.
I started working online from home December 2007. I will have to say I have learned a lot since starting on this adventure. I am learning everyday and I'm finding out that there is more to learn---lots! But, I'm going to save that story for my blog. I haven't started it yet. It's next on the list.
What do I hope to accomplish with this website? To help the newcomers to the scene of making money online. There is so much to learn and it can be all so confusing, not to mention frustrating and overwhelming. There have been many times when I thought about giving it up, but my stubborn determination just wouldn't let me.
I can only tell you about my experiences online, and only give you details about the sites I am a member of. But, I hope, that will be enough incentive to keep you going. I am not "making a killing" or "getting rich overnight". It has been slow and steady, but I keep plugging away and hope you will to.
I have been paid from some of the sites I have joined. Right now, it's not much. $20.00 here, $20.00 dollars there---but it's more than what I had when I first started this adventure. And it hasn't happened overnight or all by itself, it has taken work, focus, determination on my part.
